My workshops focus on mind-body practices, creativity and music to help people feel more connected to
themselves and the people around them and to enhance their emotional and physical
wellbeing.

I guide participants through a series of movements drawn from Tai Chi and Yoga which have
been scientifically proven to bring the nervous system out of the stressed, “fight or flight”
state and into a calm and open state conducive to wellbeing and creativity. I then guide
them through a meditation focussed on nurturing and opening the heart centre. This
creates a sense of safety and peace.

I then lead the group through a series of fun and engaging musical exercises using rhythm,
body percussion, and voice to inspire creative expression. This process is a great way to
renew one’s energy and encourages fresh and positive perspectives.

The workshops help participants find ways of doing their jobs in more creative and
meaningful ways and with more energy and purpose.

Here are some testimonials from past workshop participants:

“Alastair is extremely patient and makes you feel confident.”

“Alastair brought his passion for music to every session, as well as patience, encouragement
and motivation.”

“A very inspiring and laid-back workshop allowing creativity to come to the fore. Meditation
proved a useful tool in accessing ideas. Sharing and hearing work from other participants
was really nice. Alastair created a lovely rapport and encouraged everyone to leave that
inner critic behind and explore their creative process. A wonderful way to spend a Saturday
afternoon!”

“A unique and moving experience. Alastair was excellent. I found the meditations were a
great way finding words and expressions.”

“Alastair is friendly, knowledgeable and inclusive.”

“This is an excellent workshop. I have done a number of workshops in the past, but the
approach Alastair takes is totally different, much more interesting and very beneficial. It is
also great fun.”
